Our approach ensures that we meet the needs of every child in our care with the aim of improving their individual outcomes. We believe every child has a right to enjoy a safe, healthy and inspiring environment to learn and make a positive contribution to the world around them.
Helping young children understand the world around them
Our aim is for all children to feel safe, be happy, a confident learner, independent and a communicator by the time they leave for school. We do this by following the Early Years Curriculum (EYFS) which provides a structured way of learning, development and care for your child from birth to five years old. In addition, we have created a bespoke curriculum that has seven key elements: settling in, growing, sharing, riding, being safe, independent and creative.
A unique child
Every child is a unique, who is constantly learning, understanding and developing their own personality. We nurture every child by following their interests, stretching their imagination, being inclusive and focusing on their well-being.
Positive relationships
Children learn to be strong and independent through positive relationships with parents and key workers. We focus on developing respect not only for our peers but also grown ups too, partnerships with parents and the role of the key person.
Learning journey
Children learn and develop at different rates and in different ways, and we ensure that all areas of learning and development are equally important and interconnected. In doing so, we believe we can offer positive outcomes for each and every child in our care.
Enabling environment
Our planning is designed to support every child, and we observe and assess each child to continuously develop them. We provide continuity, and work with multi agencies when appropriate, along with supporting the transition to 'big' school.
Safe & secure
We work with children, parents, external agencies and the community to ensure the welfare and safety of children and to give them the very best start in life. Children have the right to be treated with respect, feel safe and helped to thrive.

Safeguarding
Our ethos is very simple: a child’s needs should be put first — always.
We take safeguarding seriously. All of our staff are trained in line with all statutory requirements and guidance. Underpinning our safeguarding requirements, we follow a number of policies and practices to ensure we create a healthy, safe and secure environment for the children in our care.
Importantly, all staff, no matter their role, are fully vetted and hold a current enhanced DBS.
